November: Oman's 40th National Day
Renaissance announces a meaningful tribute in its congratulatory messages for Oman's 40th National Day to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos and to the people of Oman. In response to His Majesty’s calls to plant 1 million palm trees in the coming year, Renaissance sponsored the publication of 3,000 copies of Nakhlat Maryam, a book that holds great educational and scientific value of this historic tree, and was distributed free of charge to schools, colleges and libraries around Oman.
September: Renaissance road safety message
Road safety is a serious concern in Oman and around the world – according to the World Health Organization, 1.2 million people are killed on roads every year and up to 50 million more are injured. Speeding is the leading cause of road accidents by human consequence. To highlight this urgent situation in time for the start of the school season, Renaissance created a short series of public awareness messages advocating road safety. The safety mindset unifies all Renaissance businesses in caring for all our people, our customers and all those affected by our work.
July – Oman's 40th Renaissance Day
Renaissance Services salutes the Sultanate of Oman's glorious leader in a maritime themed advert on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Oman’s Blessed Renaissance.
June & July – Raising awareness on Autism
Renaissance sponsored an original charity event to raise funds for autistic children in Oman. Inspired by Dustin Hoffman’s autistic savant character in the film Rain Man, the event was organized around a Sudoku competition where the Chief Guest was George Widener, one of the few gifted autistic savants of the World. Savants are autistic but intellectual geniuses and can compute faster than a computer/calculator. The following advertisements were published in conjunction with the event.
February - Renaissance congratulates Oman Arab Bank on 25 years

Renaissance flies its corporate colors in an advert appearing in a local English daily congratulating our associates at Oman Arab Bank on a successful 25 years.

January – Oxford Business Group’s The Report Oman 2010

The Report provides a comprehensive review of Oman featuring interviews, analysis and reports. The Renaissance advert is the first to appear within the section on Energy on page 121, featuring the headline “Aligned with the best in Oil & Gas: Safe; Efficient; Green; Local”, and providing the reader with a snapshot of the company’s platform for growth.

December - Renaissance celebrates 100 years of oil and gas major, BP

The Topaz Marine vessel appearing in the ad, Caspian Server, is one of three vessels currently serving BP in Azerbaijan on a US$ 225 million, 10-year contract awarded in September of 2008. The company’s position as a leading provider of marine support services is reinforced by partnerships with blue-chip clients such as BP where the highest standards of quality HSE are upheld.

November 2009 – Renaissance 39th National Day advert and company profile

The Renaissance adverts and profiles appeared in a number of country books and magazines celebrating the 39th National Day of its home nation the Sultanate of Oman, including Oman, A Nation on the Move, The Majestic, and Excellence International.

This advert was run in the New York Times newspaper in January 2009 in an extensive supplement covering the Sultanate of Oman, as well as on the back cover of a NATO magazine celebrating its 60 year anniversary in a summit held for country leaders and presidents in April 2009.
