The Marine businesses operate through the Renaissance subsidiary company Topaz Energy and Marine Ltd.

Marine is organized into three strategic business segments:

  • Topaz Marine Azerbaijan
  • Topaz Marine Kazakhstan
  • Topaz Marine MENA

Topaz Marine’s offshore vessel operation ranks within the top ten largest in the world. With over 100 vessels, the company supports major offshore projects in the regions in which it operates, with anchor-handling vessels, platform supply vessels, survey vessels, specialized barges and ice-breakers among many others.

The Topaz Marine division derives the vast majority of its revenue from secure, medium to long-term contracts with major oil heavyweights such as BP, Agip KCO, Saipem and Total. 3% of Topaz’s fleet is deployed in support of hydrocarbon exploration, 77% in support of field development and 20% in support of oil and gas production.

Topaz Marine has substantial operations throughout the Middle East and the Caspian, with additional vessel operations in North Africa and Southeast Asia. The Middle-East hub of operations is Dubai, from where the fleets of the Topaz Marine units- Nico International, Doha Marine Services and Topaz Marine Saudi Arabia- are deployed. In the Caspian arena, Topaz Marine units- BUE Caspian, BUE Kazakhstan and BUE Turkmenistan- operate a diverse fleet, supporting offshore development and production.

Some of the clients that Topaz Marine has served  are: SHELL, TOTAL, British Petroleum, Saipem, AGIP KCO, Maersk Oil, QatarGas, J. Ray Mcdermott, Dubai Petroleum, PA Resources, Rasgas, and Dolphin Energy.

Topaz is focused on maintaining excellent safety and customer satisfaction records as well as an ardent commitment to developing local workforce through employment and training programmes.
